Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham is attracting the interest of several Premier League teams during this summer’s transfer window. Abraham was frozen out of the Chelsea team by manager Thomas Tuchel in the second half of last season and he’s expected to leave the West London club this summer.
Abraham, 23, came through the ranks at Chelsea before he was sent on loan to clubs like Swansea City and Aston Villa. The England international returned to Chelsea from his loan spell at Villa two years ago to establish himself in the first team under former manager Frank Lampard. The Nigerian-born English striker has drawn comparison with Blues legend Didier Drogba due to his style of play.
Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand compared Chelsea striker Abraham to club legend Didier Drogba while he was on BT Sports two years ago. According to the former England national team centre back, Abraham reminds him of Ivorian football icon Didier Drogbadue to the way he holds the ball up and helps his teammates on the pitch.
Three Lions of England striker Abraham is a talented player and it’s not a surprise that a lot of the Premier League teams want to sign him this summer as he has no future at Chelsea as long as German tactician Tuchelis the manager. Abraham was the joint topscorer at Chelsea last season despite being frozen out of the team for the majority of the second half of the season to underline his prowess in front of goal amongst the Chelsea players. As a matter of fact, Abraham has been the topscorer at Chelsea in the last two seasons.
The Daily Mirror revealed via a report that Aston Villa want him to return to the club on a permanent deal but they will have to fend off London team Crystal Palace. Apart from Villa and Palace, West Ham United and Leicester City have also been linked with the Chelsea Academy graduate.
