MBAPPE IS INDISPENSABLE – DROGBA

Chelsea legend Didier Drogba is certain that Paris Saint Germain (PSG) attacker KylianMbappe is indispensable in any team on the European football stage. Didier Drogba talked extensively about Mbappe in a chat withmedia outlet Canal Champions Club. The ex-Marseille and Galatasaraystriker revealed his admiration for Mbappeduring the interview before adding some advice for the player regarding his future. Mbappe has a few months remaining on his contract at PSG and he has been strongly linked with a free transfer move to Real Madrid, but PSG are keen for the player to extend his stay at the club.


On Mbappe, Didier Drogba said that the Frenchman is indispensable irrespective of the team he settles for in the new season. According to him, Mbappe is undoubtedly one of the best players in the world and that all clubs want Mbappe in their respective teams. The Premier League duo of Arsenal and Manchester United are keen to sign French international striker Moussa Dembele from Lyon when the summer transfer window reopens in the coming months according to the latest reports coming out of the French media. The specific report from Foot Mercato stated that Manchester United and Arsenal could go head-to-head for Dembele who has been compared to Chelsea legend Didier Drogba. The former Fulham and Celtic star was compared to Didier Drogba due to the similarities in their playing style. Ex-Marseille, Galatasaray and Chelsea hitman Drogba was renowned for his physical attributes during his playing days and the aforementioned Dembele is also a physical striker.

Frenchman Dembele could follow in the footsteps of Didier Drogba by leaving a French Ligue 1 team to play in the Premier League with the Gunners and the Red Devils interested in his services. Drogba spent years at Le Mans, Guingamp and then Marseille in French football before the chance to sign for Chelsea came in 2004. The Ivorian football icon spent one season at Marseille before signing for Chelsea in a £24m deal which was a record for the West London club at the time. FIF ELECTIONS: DROGBA TO WAIT AGAIN

Ivorian football legend Didier Drogba will have to wait once again to know whether he will be able to contest for the Ivory Coast football federation (FIF) elections after they were postponed. The Chelsea legend is bidding to become the Ivory Coast football federation president.


The elections were originally planned for September 2020, but ongoing issues with the eligibility of candidates including Didier Drogba have delayed the process for 18 months. Sports philanthropist Noah Dallaji has revealed that Manchester United talisman Cristiano Ronaldo will visit Nigeria in June 2022. It would be his first visit to the West African nation and in the company of other stars including Chelsea legend Didier Drogba.

Dallaji is the founder and President of ACTDF (Africa Children Talent Discovery Foundation) and he talked about the imminent visit of Cristiano Ronaldo, Didier Drogba and other football stars at a press conference last month.

Mane reached a century of goals when he opened the floodgate of goals in the big win over newcomers Watford.
