MBAPPE REVEALS DROGBA ENCOUNTER AT CHELSEA

Paris Saint Germain (PSG) star Kylian Mbappe has revealed his meeting with Didier Drogba at a young age. Kylian Mbappe wrote in a column for The Player’s Tribune on how he first met Chelsea legend Didier Drogba at a young age. According to him, he had visited London 11 years ago and that he was fortunate to meet Didier Drogba, who was at the peak of his powers back then. The Ivorian football legend took pictures with Kylian Mbapp eand he would later show his friends at his youth club AS Bondy. Kylian Mbappe said his friends didn’t believe him initially when he told them that he met Didier Drogba in London until he showed them proof via the pictures taken by his father.


Kylian Mbappe was unable to secure a place in the Chelsea youth teams back then but he has grown to become one of the best players in world football in recent years. Mbappe was part of the France squad that won the FIFA World Cup tournament in Russia three years ago and he would be the main man when the French team attempts to defend that title at the 2022 edition in Qatar at the end of next year. Kylian Mbappe has won several titles for both AS Monaco and PSG in the space of a few years. Mbappe came through the ranks at principality club AS Monaco before he made his debut for the first team. He played a major part in the team that won the 2016/17 league title for AS Monaco and also reached the semi-finals of the Champions League. Kylian Mbappe moved from AS Monaco to PSG on loan initially for the 2017/18 season before the transfer was subsequently made permanent in a deal worth €160m to make him the second most expensive player behind PSG teammate Neymar.
