MANE TARGETS MORE GOALS AFTER CENTURY

Liverpool man Sadio Mane is targeting more goals after he reached a century of Premier League goals penultimate weekend. The Senegalese international became only the third African to reach 100 goals in the Premier League after Didier Drogba and Liverpool teammate Mohamed Salah. Mane reached a century of goals when he opened the floodgate of goals in the big win over newcomers Watford.

Mane, 29, scored the opening goal in the 5-0 away win over the Hornets for his century of goals as he emulated Didier Drogba and Mohamed Salah. Dutch winger Quincy Promeswas the star of the show as Spartak Moscow inflicted a first defeat of the season on Italian Serie A leaders Napoli in the Europa League group stage. Ex-Sevilla attacker Promes scored two times in the second half as his Russian Premier League side came from a goal down to beat hosts Napoli. The Italians ended on the wrong side of the five-goal thriller.

Premier League side Leicester City were on the way to an impressive win until Osimhen intervened with two goals to earn the share of the points for his team.

It looks like Chelsea legend Didier Drogba still cannot get over the fact that the Blues have wrapped up the signing of their former striker Romelu Lukaku this summer. The big Belgian striker has sealed his return to Stamford Bridge in some fine style after winning the Italian Serie A league title with Inter Milan last season and although it started as just a rumor this summer, he is now a Chelsea player once again and is hungry to succeed this time around. Lukaku joined the Blues when he was a teenager after being signed from Belgian league outfit Anderlecht but was not really given the chance to play for the first team and kept going out on loan.

He was first sent to West Bromwich Albion to spend one season on loan where he impressed after catching the eye of his suitors by scoring a couple of goals. A successful spell with the Baggies earned him a move to Everton but this time, it was not another loan move that was eventually turned into a permanent one after the Everton bosses confirmed that he would be a handy signing.

The England international returned to Chelsea from his loan spell at Villa two years ago to establish himself in the first team under former manager Frank Lampard. Drogba was a key part of the Chelsea team that defeated Bayern Munich on penalties in the final to win the Champions League trophy for the first time in the club’s history.

DidierDrogbatalked extensively about the 2012 Champions League title win on his Twitter handle last week to celebrate its ninth year anniversary. The Ivorian football icon revealed how he told a young Juan Manuel Mata to help Chelsea win the Champions League title in February. In his response, the Manchester United midfielder replied the Blues legend that he was in a better position to win the competition for Chelsea. According to Drogba, he had been at the club for eight years and the best they could do is a runner-up spot to Premier League rivals Manchester United in 2008.
